I think Purina is likely, but why? Is Freya with you?

The Purina Farms is in Gray Summit, Missouri, which is outside of the city. But ding ding ding ding. Freya is not with me, this is a solo trip.

Still, why?

Small lie by omission here. The trip down today was solo. The trip home tomorrow will not be solo.

Maybe a monkey. Purina makes Monkey Chow, as I recall.

Maybe she’s doing an ad for Purina…

Maggie eats Purina HA Hydrolyzed Protein kibble. It’s the only thing that doesn’t give her diarrhea. A prescription is required for it. I tried to change the food at about six or seven months, but as I transitioned to the new stuff, she got progressively more frequent – and loose. At one point she simply stopped eating it altogether. I guess she needs this icky, expensive food. I don’t like it, but she does, and it works better than anything else.

They should hire you to do an ad, Krista…

I can’t decide if I want to go to bed at my regular time (about 8:30) or stay up sit through the election results.

I could go to bed then lie there ruminating about what is happening. I will just watch.

They say the results, from Minnesota at least, may not be final until midday tomorrow. Whether you stay up or not I’m pretty sure the results will be the same.

Pretend that you’re a brain dead Trumpian voter.

One delightful thing about the results tonight is that they are coming in quite early and decisively.

I am also cherishing this moment of watching Ramaswamy torpedoed by his own stupidity.

Also notable is the Alaska Senate race. The time zone means it may be awhile, but the early returns suggest Mary Peltola may get well over 50%, at which point the number of Dan Sullivans in the race becomes a completely moot point.

At my precinct today, we were rather underresourced. We had enough election judges, but only three poll pads. My calculations indicated we checked in and/or registered a voter every two minutes on each of those three poll pads for thirteen hours straight.
Many voters had to stand in line, and it rained. I saw many voters with wet hoodies, and some ballots, after voters filled them in, were wet enough that they had to be dried before the ballot counter would accept them.
Maybe some of those voters will remember this experience and vote early in the future. I hope so.

Thanks so much for being an election judge, Linda!
